BOOKS AND BOOK COVERS
Editing. Interior layout. Image placement. Cover design. Management of self-publishing/printing process. I have been hired for some or all of these steps to get my clients’ memoirs, novels, cookbooks, and collections of photos and poems into print, whether the books are for sale or family keepsake gifts.

BOOK AND BOOK COVERS
-
POINT OF IMPACT
As Roy’s “writing partner,” I edited, wrote, and designed. The cover image perfectly reflects his pro tennis career, his love of tennis tradition, and his upward-looking positivity. His story is a good read. Available on Amazon.
-
NOTES FROM THE UNDERGROUND
David Seltzer is a subway enthusiast who shares his knowledge, humor, insights, and cultural observations about subways and their cities in this lovely collection of travel essays. I designed the pages — clean colorful chapter templates, a table of contents, and infographics — and the cover. Available at BookBaby with an author’s discount.
-
Penn Ophthalmology 1991-2011
A professional memoir of a distinguished 20-year chairmanship. Note the “eye chart” cover design, similar to the cover I designed for the personal memoir by the same author.
-
MY ANTHOLOGY
Allen’s own story of a lifelong teacher and student seemed at home enveloped by an education-inspired cover. I designed the book interior and cover; the writing is all Allen’s unique style. Available on Amazon.

GREAT GOLF COLLECTIONS

-
Spinning Threads

-
INGE'S STORY
A posthumous story about a woman who wanted her story told but ran out of time to tell it herself. How perfect that she was an inspirational teacher and her request would be completed by one of her inspired students. Judy combined Inge’s words with her own; I designed the book interior and the cover. Available on Amazon.
-
REFLECTIVE DISPLAYS
From a memorable summer in Skip’s life, this image that inspired his book’s cover features his family, the family business, and his friends. I helped weave the stories of all three into this full-color, hard-cover , 12”x9” glossy-page coffee table book, complete with more than 200 images, a Civil War diary, and a 22-generation family tree.
-
COUNT IT ALL JOY
Betty Bullock came to me with a completed manuscript; she was ready to tell her life story of faith, family, and “experiences I’m sure some people may not believe really happened.” I designed the book interior, placed the images, and designed the cover, including customizing the full-color family tree on the back. Available on Amazon
-
Lucky Man
At 94, Jerry Litvin completed his autobiography, although he has a lot of life left to live. I designed the book’s interior and the cover.
-
NEVER BETTER
The cover of Never Better, the memoirs of Stuart and Ellie Fine, highlights the many years and much fun they have had together. I celebrated Stuart’s distinguished career as a ophthalmologist with an “eye chart” title design.

BUNNY TALES TWO: POEMS FOR YOU
I took Bunny’s many poems about family and friends, added to them the original illustrations drawn by a friend, and created a full-color, hard-cover collection called Bunny Tales Two. A nice family keepsake.

HAPPY 80TH BIRTHDAY, JERRY
A surprise birthday book from Jerry’s wife, children, grandchildren and dogs: each had a page for pictures and a tribute. I readied the images, layed out the pages (including a two-page collage spread), and chose the best cover photo. A loving keepsake.
