LOGOS

Logos convey a myriad of messages in a few simple and well-chosen forms. I love the challenge. (Note, I know how to create logos in colors other than blue; my clients just seem to gravitate toward the blue options!)

LOGOS

  • Landings 50th Anniversary Logo

My contest-winning logo to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Landings residential community in Savannah, Georgia. landings.org

  • Sage-ing International

I designed the new Sage-ing® International logo with its tag line — Wisdom and Spirit in Action — in mind. Sage-ing co-chair Brian Jones described the new logo graphic as, “the flame that burns inside all of us, and the leaf representing that moment of passing through the many seasons of our life.” sage-ing.org

  • Skidaway Abigails

The progressive arrow symbol, the inital “A,” and the wavy crossbar create a logo for the Skidaway Abigails, an organization of progressive women living in an island community. skidawayabigails.com

  • Skidaway Abigails 10th Anniversary

The Skidaway Abigails logo with a fun anniversary twist for use with all 10th anniversary celebratory event media.

  • Housing Savannah

“We grow community resources to create and preserve housing that is affordable to everyone.” housingsavannah.org

  • Brunch Bunch

Four couples donated their time and culinary talents to a charity event by offering to host and prepare a brunch for 12 people. The “Brunch Bunch” logo was on the aprons, the menus, and the take-home goodies.

  • Akiba '82

A high school reunion committee wanted a class-specific logo for the invitation and cool merch. This worked!

  • Roy Barth

Former professional tennis player Roy Barth’s book, Point of Impact, and his website needed a logo: this one references tennis and the moment the ball hits the strings — the point of impact — all while spelling out his name. roybarth.com

  • Jewish Women of the Landings

In the Jewish tradition, women light the candles to usher in the sabbath or signify the start of a holiday. Candlesticks seemed the perfect feature in a logo for a Jewish women’s group.

  • Savannah Philanthropic Partners

My featuring the Talmadge Bridge in the logo design for the Savannah Philanthropic Partners, prompted the group’s founders to adopt “Bridging Community Needs,” as their new tag line. savannahphilanthropicpartners.org

  • Write Away Seminar

In 2021, I hosted Write Away, a seminar about the ins and outs of self-publishing. The logo is a laptop that morphs into a book, and also a pen (the side of the laptop keyboard) and a pencil tip (the novel with a point).

  • Village Hair Design

My local beauty salon needed a logo with an updated look. The scissors in this logo are both the “V” in Village and the “a” in Hair. Immediately recognizable. villagehairdesign.net

  • Women's Executive Network

This logo represents the strong connections among existing members of this professional women’s network, and the outreach to include other like-minded women. womens-executive-network.org

  • Resi-Dental

When my husband started his come-to-your-home mobile dental business, he needed a name and a logo. We came up with Resi-Dental. Perfect.

  • Bar-Mitzvah Logo

For a Washington Nationals baseball fan whose name starts with an “M,” and who treated his guests to a night at the ballpark, this seemed like the perfect bar-mitzvah logo.

  • The IT Girl, LLC

My logo! My concept for a caricature of me juggling a variety of computer devices while balancing in the iconic Savannah “bird girl” pose was expertly drawn by famed illustrator Phyllis Tildes. Every so often I change the color of my clothes. The logo has aged pretty well.

  • Savannah Jewish News Masthead

I was asked by the Jewish Educational Alliance to design a new masthead for the Savannah Jewish News. That was a number of years ago but it’s still going strong.

  • New South Kosher

I loved this logo I was hired to design for a local kosher caterer but it was never used. I think the business never got started.

  • Men Around The Island

My husband once taught a cooking course for men who don’t know how to cook. His students were all neighbors in our island community who met around the island in our kitchen. I designed this logo for his take-home recipe letterhead.

  • Jewish Women of the Landings 20th Anniversary

I designed this logo for The Jewish Women of The Landings for its 20th anniversary. I loved this logo; too bad the anniversary was only one year!

  • Savannah and Beyond

A logo for a photography exhibition. This design was also the cover for the exhibit’s advertising and program.

  • Wedding Logo

A wedding logo. A “J” and a “C” married to embrace their last name, which began with an “H.”

  • Rock Creek Farm

A local farm needed a logo and decal to identify its all-purpose property vehicles. This worked out just perfectly.

  • Healthy Seconds

A logo for a website offering daily, 60-second diet, exercise, lifestyle, and health tips. Too bad this business never launched; the logo and website designs were fun.

  • Bar-Mitzvah Logo

I designed this logo for a golf-themed bar-mitzvah celebration. I think a sleeve of logo golf balls was a take-home gift.

  • Congregation Mickve Israel

In 1733, 42 Jewish people set sail from London to Savannah to settle there and found a Jewish community. They brought with them a Torah for their new synagogue. To celebrate the 275th anniversary of Congregation Mickve Israel, I designed this logo. The negative space in the book is the shape of a Torah.
